Wabi-Sabi is the Japanese philosophy that one can find beauty in the natural cycles of growth and impermanence. It is often described as the beauty of things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.
Wabi-Sabi was the inspiration for this joined project. Ben Huybrechts made pictures in an industrial area that is being cleaned up and renovated. The images were the inspiration for the floral art arrangements of Ilse Beunen and the ceramics of Christiane van Dijck. Carlos Betsens took care of all the metalwork and the beautifully renovated exhibition location.
