Atelier Kadõ

The workshop Atelier Kadõ was founded by Ms. Ilse Beunen. Ilse Beunen graduated in 1989 as a garden architect in Belgium but then left for Japan for 11 years. There she trained under Japanese garden architect Suzuki Shiegeichi and received her teaching certificate in Sogetsu Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement. During her stay in Japan, she taught ikebana and made floral arrangements for the Belgian Embassy in Japan and for international events.

She has come to develop her own unique style by combining elements of Western and Eastern floral arrangement. She continues the practice and instruction of ikebana at Atelier Kadõ and designs floral installations and Japanese gardens throughout Europe.
